7 ways

What is the 7 Ways Programme?
It’s a half day session put together to provide your team with a range of resources to manage
their own health and wellbeing.


Its about exploring ways to be productive at work and crucially - still have the mental energy to show up brilliantly for family, loved ones and friends.


Its about coaching staff to activate their own emotional oxygen mask .


How?
By using something we are blessed with in Scotland - the outdoors. Participants learn how to use it in short doses to quickly restore and enhance their mental health. They’ll also learn a few old school techniques that will enable them to make the outdoors comfortable and fun for themselves and their most important people.


Why?
Being in nature decreases stress levels.
Getting outdoors improves mood.
Spending time outside improves memory and attention span.


What happens?
The session lasts about three hours. We always light a fire and make tea and coffee over it. If it rains we put up big rain canopies in the trees to keep us dry. We often cook something tasty; cake, bread, soup etc. In between doing the above we examine seven simple but highly effective ways to hit our ‘mental reset button’. We’ll also get to just talk, sitting round the fire, the same way humans have since they invented it just over a million years ago.

Can we do it indoors?

Yes, taking the team off site can be tricky so there is an indoor equivalent.
