Men of Honour is the true story of Carl Brashear who joined the United States Navy in 1948 and became the first African American to achieve the rank of Master Diver.
The movie charts Brashear’s superhuman determination and courage in a deeply prejudiced and officially segregated navy.
It’s also about the Man Code;
- A father’s efforts to equip his son for an unfair world.
- Never asking for help
- Two men who develop a deep respect and trust for one another without ever being able to express it (They do a great job articulating anger and hate tho).
- The price paid by our loved ones when we follow the man code to the letter.
- Sacrificing family life for career.
